An extremely fast swimming and good fighting fish that will truly test you if using light tackle. We stocked 250 and they are now reaching 8 kg with expectations of reaching 25 kg+. A fish for those who enjoy action! Beware, Pacu have VERY sharp teeth. In their natural habitat of the River Amazon, they are used to crack Brazil Nuts. So just imagine what could be done to your finger! We catch them regularly at Hua Hin Fishing Lodge, on baits that have included bread, sweetcorn, hot dogs, grasshoppers and banana. They will take lures and have even been successfully caught on fly tackle. These Amazonian thrillers are truly great fighting fish. Just some of the Pacu that have given our customers some thrills.
